The Making of a Halloween Party!

Our way to a Halloween theme really took a twist this time!
We really had a plan for dia de los Muertos, but upon doing the research, we were not in the mood for offending anyone, as this we kept reading "Despite the white faces and the skulls, it's not meant to be a spooky holiday and it's not Halloween."

Ok, our bad, so now what? Taylor reminded us how hard we worked on
the Mad Hatter hat 2 years ago and always planned
to use it again. Well, there we go!
Alice in Wonderland it was!

What a change. And, I found out, more difficult than I
originally thought. But, a challenge is in our DNA.
We got to work and made it happen. And it was so much fun
making it happen!

Taylor jumped right in!

The house became a total craft center for about a month.

Not only the dining room table loaded with crafts,
the living room was the staging ground.

There was the tags for wine tasting

of course, we had to have mushrooms
for the wine table

and what to do about a centerpiece?
Why not a tree growing out of stacked plates
with card and butterflies? Yes, we could do it!

And soldier cards, and more stacked plates for treats!
And hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds everywhere!
And characters! Yes, "we could do it"!

And we did.
Soldier cards to greet you at the door
with red roses, painted and partially painted, of course.

A Boo to great you in the entrance

and the wine table with the centerpiece tree, mushrooms,
tags and teacups for tasting!
