ReplyDeleteI recognize the top picture, as it's my dad, in India. You scanned a couple letters he wrote to your mom and a story from his army newspaper. He died last year and I found your blog googling him.

ReplyDeleteMusician wonderer! I have often wondered about your dad. My mom passed last year too. Found her diaries and letters and its been so wonderful reading. She often talked of these years of USO dances as the happiest years of her life. So wonderful that your dad survived and lived a long life. Thanks for commenting!
