In Memory of all the Soldiers . . .

To those identified and those that are not . . .

they are remembered here . . .

for all the joyous times . . .

 for all their strength . . .

for being the impressive men that they were . . .

and for all their contributions to "the wildest year" . . .

despite all of what they may have been through
in service to their country
for all of us . . .

I will remember all of you.

Thank you!

Oh Janet, I am late to see this post... I agree and this is so beautifully said. Thank you.
I recognize the top picture, as it's my dad, in India. You scanned a couple letters he wrote to your mom and a story from his army newspaper. He died last year and I found your blog googling him.

Great pictures! I love all the soldiers they've met - wonder how many of them made it through ..

Musician wonderer! I have often wondered about your dad. My mom passed last year too. Found her diaries and letters and its been so wonderful reading. She often talked of these years of USO dances as the happiest years of her life. So wonderful that your dad survived and lived a long life. Thanks for commenting!
